Beloved children's storybook character Winnie Pooh hit the big screen in the new Disney movie "Christopher Robin" this last week, and Dysart's own Chrissy Taylor was among the first to see it at the Red Carpet World Premiere in Burbank, CA on Monday, July 30.

"I've had the opportunity to work with Disney over the years, writing about upcoming movies and helping to promote them," Taylor said. "This was my first trip invite and was for the Red Carpet World Premiere of Christopher Robin."

Taylor was one of only 25 entertainment writers/bloggers from across the country invited to the premiere of the movie, which follows Christopher Robin as an overworked adult businessman that finds himself suddenly reconnected with his childhood past. Taylor got the full red carpet experience, take pics as Hollywood Studios was transformed in the Hundred Acre Woods and socialized over dinner with the cast, which included Ewan McGregor, Hayley Atwell and Jim Cummings returning at the nostalgic voice of one silly old bear. Taylor described her interview with Cummings on her website, "The Taylor House", and the impact the character of Pooh had on her from childhood.

"As our interview started, [Cummings] even talked in his Winnie the Pooh voice," Taylor wrote. "This was the perfect way to start this interview and it without a doubt took me back to my childhood. Like the smell of a certain flower or perfume, his voice encompasses so much of my childhood that this seemed like I was in another dimension."

The trip also gave Taylor a chance to interview Atwell about her role as Christopher Robin's wife, see the movie before hitting theatres everywhere and write a positive review of the film about how the original characters stayed true in this production.

"It's crazy to be invited to an event like these," Taylor said. "I feel incredibly lucky and fortunate to be picked as one of the writers/influencers to attend. I know there are millions of writers and options for these trips and I feel fortunate for every single experience I'm able to have."

While the red carpet and hanging out with celebrities is all fun for Taylor, the Dysart native also is happy to continue her food, travel and fun blog out of her own home.

"Traveling and attending events like this is absolutely amazing and life-changing but it also makes me thankful to return to Dysart where life is completely different," Taylor said. It can only be described as home."
